That question is asked constantly.
Every war.
Every earthquake.
Every political headline.
People immediately say:
• “This must be prophecy!”
• “The end is here!”
But is that how the Body of Christ is supposed to understand the times?
Not if we rightly divide the Word.
▪️THE FIRST THING TO UNDERSTAND: WE ARE IN A MYSTERY PROGRAM
The current Dispensation of Grace was:
“Kept secret since the world began.”
— Romans 16:25 (KJV)
That means:
• Old Testament prophets did not see it
• Joel did not describe it
• Revelation is not unfolding today
▪️PROPHECY IS ON HOLD
Many believers try to interpret current events through prophecy.
This is often called:
“Newspaper exegesis”
But prophecy concerns:
• Israel
• The kingdom
• The Tribulation
• Christ’s earthly reign
And those events are still future.
▪️WHAT ABOUT ISRAEL IN 1948?
Many point to modern Israel and say:
“Ezekiel 36 is being fulfilled!”
But when you read the passage carefully:
• Israel is regathered in unbelief first
• Then spiritually restored
• Then placed under the New Covenant Kingdom
That has not happened yet.
▪️THE DISPENSATION OF GRACE IS THE RESTRAINER
“He who now letteth will let…”
— 2 Thessalonians 2:7
The Body of Christ—under this present dispensation—is restraining the revelation of the “man of sin.”
The Antichrist cannot fully appear until:
• The Body of Christ is caught up
• The Dispensation of Grace concludes
▪️SO WHAT IS THE REAL SIGN OF THE END?
Not politics.
Not headlines.
Not world events.
But spiritual apostasy.
“Some shall depart from the faith…”
— 1 Timothy 4:1
The falling away is doctrinal.
• Truth being abandoned
• Grace being corrupted
• Sound doctrine being rejected
▪️THE REAL BATTLE TODAY IS INSIDE CHRISTENDOM
Many churches today:
• Mix law and grace
• Replace doctrine with emotion
• Chase signs and experiences
• Ignore Paul’s apostleship
And that confusion grows deeper by the day.
▪️WHAT DOES “THE FULNESS OF THE GENTILES” MEAN?
“Until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.”
— Romans 11:25
This is not necessarily a fixed number of saved people.
It points to the completion of God’s present Gentile-focused grace program.
One day:
• The door closes
• The Body is complete
• The catching away occurs
▪️WHAT SHOULD BELIEVERS DO TODAY?
Not speculate on dates.
Not fear headlines.
But:
• Stand in grace
• Rejoice in eternal security
• Proclaim the gospel
“God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself…”
— 2 Corinthians 5:19
▪️YOUR MISSION TODAY
You are not preparing the world for the kingdom.
You are:
• Part of the Body of Christ
• Ambassadors of reconciliation
• Blessed with a heavenly calling
▪️THE GOSPEL FOR TODAY
“Christ died for our sins… was buried… rose again…”
— 1 Corinthians 15:1–4
That is the message people need now—
Before the door of grace closes.

The signs of the end are not primarily political—
They are doctrinal.
The great danger today is not missing a headline…
It is missing sound doctrine.
So don’t chase prophecy where God is revealing mystery.
Rightly divide the Word.
Stand fast in grace.
And preach Christ while the door is still open.
