That line tells the truth—plain and simple.
Rightly dividing the Word of truth has never been popular.
It wasn’t in Paul’s day.
It isn’t in ours.
Paul warned Timothy:
“All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution”
(2 Timothy 3:12)
Not persecution for being rude.
Not persecution for being careless.
But for standing faithfully in what God has revealed for this dispensation.
▪️Why Right Division Brings Resistance
Because it draws lines God Himself drew.
• Prophecy vs. Mystery
• Israel vs. the Body of Christ
• Law vs. Grace
• Earthly promises vs. Heavenly blessings
And when you keep those things where God put them, confusion fades—but comfort zones get challenged.
Paul said:
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God…”
(2 Timothy 2:15)
Notice—approved unto God, not unto men.
▪️Human Applause Is Fleeting
Crowds change.
Opinions shift.
Religious trends rise and fall.
But God’s approval?
It lasts.
Paul didn’t measure success by popularity.
He measured it by faithfulness.
“It is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful”
(1 Corinthians 4:2)
▪️Why It’s Worth It
Because rightly divided truth:
• Brings clarity instead of confusion
• Produces assurance, not fear
• Establishes believers in grace, not performance
• Exalts Christ’s finished work—not human effort
“Being justified freely by his grace…”
(Romans 3:24)
That message may cost you applause.
But it gives people peace.

Not seeking praise—just approval.
Because when the Word is placed where God placed it,
hearts are freed,
faith is strengthened,
and grace shines brighter.
God’s blessing
is worth far more
