One of the most powerful moments in your life
is not when you feel something—
But when God’s Word starts working in you.
“Which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”
— 1 Thessalonians 2:13 (KJV)
Not emotion.
Not religion.
But believing what God said—to you.
▪️WHY RIGHT DIVISION MATTERS
If you don’t know what God is saying to you today…
You can’t rest your faith.
And if your faith isn’t resting on truth—
you won’t walk in power.
Grace living is not guessing.
It is knowing where you stand in God’s program.
▪️A NEW CREATURE—NOT A BETTER VERSION OF YOU
“If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
That verse is often misunderstood.
It’s not about:
• Quitting bad habits
• Cleaning up your life
• Trying to do better
That’s behavior.
Paul is talking about something deeper—
Identity.
▪️WHAT GOD ACTUALLY CHANGED
Before Christ—
You were in Adam:
• Spiritually dead
• Separated from God
• Bound to sin
• Living in self-will
Religion couldn’t fix that.
Good works couldn’t change that.
Then you heard the gospel:
“Christ died for our sins… was buried… and rose again.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
And you believed.
Not a ritual.
Not a system.
Not a church.
Christ.
And the moment you believed—
God did a work you could never do:
• You were baptized into Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13)
• You became part of the Body of Christ
• Your old man was crucified with Him (Romans 6:6)
• Your spirit was made alive
• You were sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13)
• Christ now dwells in you
That’s not improvement.
That’s transformation.
That’s not religion.
That’s regeneration.
▪️YOU ARE NOT WHO YOU WERE
Yes—you still live in the same body.
Yes—the flesh is still present.
But that is not your identity anymore.
“Your life is hid with Christ in God.”
— Colossians 3:3
Heaven doesn’t see you “in Adam.”
He sees you in Christ.
▪️WALKING IN VICTORY
So now what?
“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
— Galatians 5:16
Notice—
He doesn’t say: Fight harder.
He doesn’t say: Try more.
He says:
Walk.
Walk in what God already made you.
▪️GRACE CHANGES THE APPROACH
Religion says:
• “Do more to become somebody.”
• “Earn it.”
• “Prove it.”
Grace says:
• “You already are somebody in Christ.”
• “Rest in it.”
• “Walk from it.”
▪️WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST
Right now—
• You are complete in Him (Colossians 2:10)
• You are accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6)
• You are indwelt by His Spirit
• You are sealed forever
• You are alive unto God
▪️FINAL THOUGHT
Transformation doesn’t come from striving.
It comes from believing.
Believing who God says you are.
Believing what He has already done.
Believing where you now stand.
From Adam—ruined.
To Christ—made new.
Live from that.
Walk in that.
Let grace do its work.
