📖 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.” — Romans 1:18 (KJV)
Let’s make something crystal clear:
God’s wrath isn’t random—it’s directed against sin, against all ungodliness and unrighteousness. That’s what the verse says. So if sin provokes God’s wrath, then the only way that wrath can be satisfied is through what the Bible calls propitiation—and that happens only through faith in Christ’s blood (Romans 3:25).
👉 This means the sins of the lost are NOT forgiven until they believe the gospel.
Now, some teach that because Jesus died for the sins of all mankind, everyone is already forgiven. They say that when Christ died, forgiveness was automatically applied to all people. But that’s not what Scripture says.
Yes, Christ died for all (1 Timothy 2:6).
Yes, His blood paid for all sin (1 John 2:2).
But you don’t receive the benefit of that payment until you personally trust what Christ accomplished through His death, burial, and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1–4).
Until that moment of faith, the unbeliever is still dead in sins (Ephesians 2:1), alienated from God (Colossians 1:21), and will give account for every sin (Romans 2:5–6; Matthew 12:36).
💡 The preaching of the gospel carries two sides:
1️⃣ The Bad News — Every person is a sinner, guilty before a holy God, and deserving of His wrath. Sin is the terminal disease of the human race. The law exposes that guilt (Romans 3:19–20), proving that all have sinned (Romans 3:23).
2️⃣ The Good News — God Himself provided the cure! Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). And the moment you trust that gospel, you are justified freely by His grace (Romans 3:24). God’s wrath is satisfied—not because of what you’ve done—but because of what Christ accomplished on your behalf. 🙌
🚫 So to tell a lost person, “You’re already forgiven,” is not just misleading—it’s spiritually dangerous. That’s like telling someone with a deadly disease, “You’re perfectly healthy,” when the truth is they’re dying without the cure.
The lost man’s real problem is not realizing he’s still in his sins. He’s not under grace until he believes. His sins remain charged to his account, and he faces the full justice of God (Romans 2:16).
But the good news of grace is this:
💧 The moment he trusts in Christ’s finished work—believing that Christ died for his sins and rose again—God saves him eternally. He’s forgiven, justified, and made righteous instantly (Romans 5:1, 9–11).
🔥 Don’t water down the gospel.
Tell people the truth—the bad news and the good news—so they can believe the gospel of grace and be saved.
Because apart from faith in the blood of Christ, there’s no forgiveness, no justification, and no peace with God. (Romans 5:1; Ephesians 1:7)
✝️ Believe the gospel today—trust Christ alone, and God will forever declare you righteous in His sight.
