A Mid-Acts Dispensational Answer to Confusion, Conviction, and Certainty
❓ “There are so many denominations… so many interpretations… how can I know what’s right?”
This is a question that sincere Christians — and curious skeptics — ask all the time. With thousands of different churches, traditions, and doctrines, how can anyone know the truth? 🤷♂️
👉 The good news is: God has not left us in the dark.
We can know the truth — and we should.
Let’s walk through how the rightly divided word of God gives you clarity in a world of religious confusion. 📖✨
🚨 1. Feelings Are Not the Standard
Many say:
“I just feel this is right.”
“I had a dream… a peace in my heart…”
But the Bible says:
📖 Jeremiah 17:9 – “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked…”
📖 Proverbs 14:12 – “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
✅ Truth isn’t based on emotions, experiences, or popularity.
Truth is based on what God said in His word — and understanding it rightly divided (2 Timothy 2:15).
📖 2. Truth Comes From God’s Word, Not Man’s Traditions
📖 John 17:17 – “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
The Bible is the final authority.
Not your pastor.
Not your denomination.
Not church councils.
Not early church fathers.
Not your grandmother. 👵
📚 The word of God is complete, preserved, and sufficient (2 Timothy 3:16–17). But how we study it matters.
✂️ 3. Right Division Makes the Difference
This is where most confusion happens. The Bible must be rightly divided to be properly understood.
📖 2 Timothy 2:15 – “Study to shew thyself approved unto God… rightly dividing the word of truth.”
The Bible contains:
• Prophecy (spoken since the world began – Acts 3:21)
• Mystery (kept secret – Romans 16:25)
Most people mix these together, leading to:
❌ Doctrinal contradictions
❌ Law + Grace confusion
❌ Israel vs. Body of Christ confusion
❌ Water baptism + Spirit baptism confusion
❌ Kingdom gospel vs. grace gospel confusion
👉 When you recognize that Paul is the apostle of the Gentiles (Romans 11:13), and that the dispensation of grace was revealed to him (Ephesians 3:2), you begin to see what applies to you directly today.
🛠️ 4. Use God’s Blueprint for Truth
Here’s a simple checklist to help you know what’s right:
✅ Is it in the Bible?
If not, toss it out.
✅ Is it rightly divided?
Is it prophecy for Israel (Law, covenants, signs)?
Or mystery for the Body of Christ (grace, heaven, liberty)?
✅ Does it align with Paul’s gospel?
📖 1 Corinthians 15:1–4 – Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.
📖 Galatians 1:8–9 – Any other gospel is accursed.
📖 Romans 2:16 – God will judge by Paul’s gospel.
✅ Does it glorify Christ and His finished work?
False teachings often glorify man, works, feelings, or religion.
Truth exalts Christ alone (Colossians 1:18; Galatians 6:14).
🙋♂️ 5. Ask the Right Questions
Instead of asking:
“What does my church teach?”
“What do most Christians think?”
“What makes me feel good?”
Ask:
🔎 “What does the Bible say — rightly divided?”
🔎 “Am I trusting what God said through Paul for today?”
🔎 “Am I using God’s method of study (2 Tim 2:15), or man’s?”
🌟 6. Truth Produces Stability
When you finally see the Bible rightly divided, it will:
✅ Make sense of confusing doctrines
✅ Provide assurance of salvation (Eph. 1:13)
✅ Give you liberty from performance-based religion (Gal. 5:1)
✅ Clarify your identity in Christ (Col. 2:10)
✅ Equip you to be an ambassador of truth (2 Cor. 5:20)
💬 Conclusion
🧭 “How do I know what is right?”
You won’t know by following feelings, tradition, or crowds.
But you will know when you open God’s word, believe it, and study it the way He told you to:
📖 “Rightly dividing the word of truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:15
📖 “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro… by the sleight of men…” – Ephesians 4:14
📖 God’s word is truth.
🧱 Right division is the key.
✝️ The gospel of grace is the foundation.
✅ Believe the Gospel (1 Cor. 15:1–4)
✅ Trust the Bible — Rightly Divided
✅ Walk in Liberty, Truth, and Assurance
