We live in a noisy religious world.
Many voices.
Many gospels.
Many well-meaning messages that still leave people confused, burdened, or afraid.
God is not the author of confusion.
And the gospel—the real gospel—was never meant to be vague.
The Apostle Paul writes:
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.”
—Romans 1:16
Power demands clarity.
And clarity comes from right division.
▪️Start Where God Starts Today
To share the gospel clearly today, we must begin where God is working today.
Not in Matthew.
Not in Acts 2.
Not at the Sermon on the Mount.
But with the revelation given to Paul, the apostle of the Gentiles (Romans 11:13).
Paul declares:
“According to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began.”
—Romans 16:25
The gospel for today comes from a previously hidden mystery, now revealed.
That changes everything.
▪️What the Gospel Is—According to Paul
Paul defines the gospel with unmistakable simplicity:
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel…
How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried,
And that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
—1 Corinthians 15:1–4
Notice what is not mentioned:
• No water baptism
• No confession of sins
• No command to endure to the end
• No promise of earthly kingdom blessings
Just facts.
Finished facts.
This is the gospel we proclaim.
▪️How a Person Is Saved Today
Salvation today is not earned.
Not maintained.
Not improved.
Paul makes this plain:
“By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
—Ephesians 2:8–9
So when sharing the gospel:
• Emphasize grace
• Center on faith alone
• Point to Christ’s finished work
• Remove human effort
Salvation is not a process.
It is a moment of belief.
▪️What We Ask People to Believe
We do not ask people to “give their life to Jesus.”
We do not ask them to “repent of all their sins.”
We do not ask them to “invite Christ into their heart.”
We invite them to believe.
Paul says:
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
—Acts 16:31
Believe that:
• Christ died for your sins
• Christ was buried
• Christ rose again
• His work was enough
• Nothing needs to be added
That is saving faith.
▪️Speak With Warmth—but With Authority
Clarity does not mean coldness.
Confidence does not mean pride.
Paul reminds us:
“The servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient.”
—2 Timothy 2:24
So speak gently.
But speak clearly.
Repeat the truth.
Reinforce the message.
Guard against mixture.
Grace plus works is no longer grace (Romans 11:6).
▪️A Simple Gospel Pattern You Can Use
You can say it simply:
• God is offering salvation by grace.
• Christ paid fully for sin at the cross.
• He rose again, proving the payment complete.
• Salvation is received by faith alone.
• The believer is sealed forever in Christ.
No pressure.
No manipulation.
No fear tactics.
Just truth.
▪️Rest in the Power of the Message
You are not responsible to save anyone.
You are responsible to make the message clear.
Paul trusted the gospel itself:
“For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord.”
—2 Corinthians 4:5
The gospel does the saving.
The Spirit does the convicting.
Grace does the transforming.
Your role is faithfulness.
▪️Conclusion:
Clarity honors Christ.
Grace magnifies the cross.
Right division protects the gospel.
In a world full of religious confusion,
you have been entrusted with good news—
simple, finished, and free.
Speak it.
Share it.
Stand in it.
