There is coming a day when the Church, the Body of Christ, will not slowly improve the world…
We will not gradually bring in the Kingdom…
We are not waiting for signs in the heavens, tribulation judgments, or prophetic events to begin.
We are waiting for a Person.
The Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
Paul writes:
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump… we shall be changed.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:52 (KJV)
Think about that.
In a moment.
Not years.
Not months.
Not after enduring God’s wrath.
In the twinkling of an eye.
Faster than a blink…
The Body of Christ will be caught away, changed, glorified, and united with Christ.
This is not Israel’s prophetic hope.
This is the Mystery hope revealed through Paul.
That distinction matters.
Because if we fail to rightly divide prophecy and mystery, we end up confusing God’s earthly program with Israel and His heavenly purpose for the Church.
Paul says:
“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:”
— Philippians 3:20 (KJV)
Notice:
Israel looked for a Kingdom on earth.
The Body of Christ looks for Christ from heaven.
Different calling.
Different destination.
Different program.
Not two ways of salvation…
But distinct programs in God’s unfolding purpose.
• Israel’s hope = Kingdom glory on earth
• The Body of Christ’s hope = Heavenly glory with Christ
• Prophecy = Spoken since the world began (Acts 3:21)
• Mystery = Kept secret since the world began (Romans 16:25)
The Rapture is part of that Mystery revelation given to Paul.
That is why Paul writes:
“Behold, I shew you a mystery…”
— 1 Corinthians 15:51 (KJV)
The catching away of the Body of Christ was not revealed in Old Testament prophecy.
It belongs to the revelation committed to Paul, the apostle of the Gentiles (Romans 11:13).
And what comfort this brings.
Because our hope does not rest in political stability…
Not in religious performance…
Not in law-keeping…
Not in enduring to the end…
Our hope rests entirely in the finished work of Christ.
“Christ died for our sins… he was buried, and… he rose again the third day…”
— 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 (KJV)
That gospel saves today.
Completely.
Freely.
By grace through faith.
And every believer placed in Christ possesses a secure future no circumstance can undo.
The world looks increasingly unstable.
Doctrine is being abandoned.
Law and grace are mixed.
Israel and the Church are confused.
Yet sound doctrine gives stability because it anchors believers in what God is doing today in the Dispensation of Grace.
The next event for the Body of Christ is not wrath.
It is not judgment.
It is not prophecy unfolding.
It is Christ Himself.
And when that moment comes—
In the twinkling of an eye…
Faith becomes sight.
Mortality puts on immortality.
Our heavenly hope becomes reality.
So stand fast.
Abound in the work of the Lord.
Hold fast sound words.
And remember:
The trumpet may sound before your next heartbeat.
“Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:18 (KJV)
