When you read your Bible without rightly dividing it (2 Timothy 2:15),
you will eventually try to live in promises God is not making to you.
You will look for power…
when God is offering grace.
You will expect signs…
when God is producing sufficiency.
And the confusion will wear you out.
▪️Kingdom Power
In Israel’s prophetic program, power was visible.
• The blind received sight.
• The lame walked.
• Devils were cast out.
• The dead were raised.
The Lord sent the twelve with miraculous authority (Matthew 10:1).
They were preaching, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17).
Hebrews says they “tasted… the powers of the world to come” (Hebrews 6:5).
That was real.
That was divine.
That was kingdom power.
It authenticated the King.
It confirmed the message.
It previewed the coming earthly reign.
But it belonged to a specific program.
A prophetic timeline.
A covenant nation.
▪️Grace Sufficiency
Then the risen Christ revealed something new to Paul.
Not a kingdom at hand.
But grace at hand.
Paul prayed three times for his thorn to be removed.
The Lord did not remove it.
Instead He said:
“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9
Notice the shift.
Not power displayed outwardly.
But strength supplied inwardly.
Not deliverance from suffering.
But endurance through suffering.
Not signs and wonders.
But a sealed, secure position in Christ (Ephesians 1:13).
This is not a downgrade.
It is a different administration.
We are not living in the manifestation of kingdom power.
We are living in the dispensation of the grace of God (Ephesians 3:2).
And grace is enough.
▪️Why This Matters
If you chase kingdom power today:
• You may question your faith when miracles don’t happen.
• You may measure spirituality by experiences.
• You may confuse Israel’s promises with the Body’s position.
But when you understand grace sufficiency:
• You rest in Christ’s finished work.
• You endure trials with confidence.
• You boast in weakness, not in signs.
Paul said, “Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities…” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
That is grace thinking.
▪️The Greater Miracle Today
The greater miracle today is not:
• A healed body
• A multiplied loaf
• A visible sign
The greater miracle is this:
A sinner justified freely by grace (Romans 3:24).
Seated in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).
Complete in Christ (Colossians 2:10).
That is deeper than sight restored.
That is eternal.
So don’t be discouraged if you don’t see kingdom power.
You were never promised it.
But you have something just as glorious:
Sufficient grace.
Abundant grace.
Unfailing grace.
Stand in it.
Rest in it.
Preach it.
Because today, God is not demonstrating the powers of the world to come.
He is forming the Body of Christ through the gospel of grace:
“Christ died for our sins… was buried… and rose again the third day.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:1–4
Kingdom power will come — in its time.
But today?
Grace is sufficient.
