This matters more than most people realize.
Because if you put the Church under the New Covenant…
you move her out of her proper place.
You blur Israel and the Body of Christ.
You mix prophecy with mystery.
Let’s slow down and open the Book.
▪️The New Covenant
God promised a New Covenant — but to whom?
“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah.”
(Jeremiah 31:31)
Not with the Gentiles.
Not with the Body of Christ.
But with Israel and Judah.
Under that covenant:
• God will write His law in their hearts
• All Israel shall know the Lord
• Their sins will be forgiven
• The nation will be restored
It is earthly.
It is national.
It is prophetic.
It belongs to Israel’s Kingdom program.
▪️What About Us?
Paul never says the Body of Christ is under the New Covenant.
Instead he says:
“Ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
(Romans 6:14)
And again:
“For this cause I Paul… if ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward.”
(Ephesians 3:1–2)
We are not under the Old Covenant.
We are not under the New Covenant.
We are under Grace.
Not law written in stone.
Not law written in the heart.
But a new creature in Christ.
▪️The Mystery Truth
The New Covenant was prophesied.
The Body of Christ was kept secret.
“Which in other ages was not made known…”
(Ephesians 3:5)
If the Church is under the New Covenant, then the Church is not a mystery.
But Paul says it is.
That settles it.
▪️Why This Matters
If you place yourself under the New Covenant:
• You drift back toward Israel’s earthly hope
• You begin looking for covenant promises
• You subtly mix kingdom language with grace truth
But when you stand in your identity in Christ:
• You rest in complete justification (Romans 5:1)
• You rejoice in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6)
• You walk in liberty, not covenant obligation
Not improved Israel.
Not spiritual Israel.
Not covenant Israel.
A new creature.
A new man.
A new program.
▪️The Beauty of Grace
We don’t need to be placed under Israel’s covenant.
We have something different.
Something unprophesied.
Something heavenly.
Something revealed through Paul.
Christ in you.
Complete in Him.
Blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places.
That’s not covenant language.
That’s mystery grace.
And when you see the difference —
not arrogantly,
not divisively,
but rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15) —
the Bible opens.
Grace shines.
And your assurance deepens.
New Covenant?
For Israel.
No Covenant?
For the Body of Christ.
Just Grace.
And grace is more than enough.
