— And How to Stand
There is a real battle today.
But it’s not what many think.
It’s not shadows in the dark.
It’s not haunted places.
It’s not outward fear tactics.
👉 The real battlefield… is truth.
▪️A STRATEGY THAT CHANGED
Before the cross, Satan worked to stop Christ.
• Stirring opposition
• Blinding Israel
• Driving rejection
But something happened he did not expect.
“Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”
— 1 Corinthians 2:8 (KJV)
The cross was not his victory.
👉 It was his defeat.
Because hidden in God was something never revealed in prophecy:
“The mystery… which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God…”
— Ephesians 3:9 (KJV)
The Dispensation of Grace.
The Body of Christ.
▪️THE FATAL ERROR
Satan did not see it coming.
He did not understand that:
• Christ’s death would bring grace to all
• Salvation would go to the Gentiles freely
• A new agency—the Body of Christ—would be formed
If he had known…
👉 he would have fought the cross, not pushed it.
But now?
The cross stands.
The victory is finished.
So the strategy changed.
▪️THE NEW ATTACK
Today, Satan is not trying to stop the cross.
👉 He is trying to stop its impact.
How?
• Blinding minds to the gospel
• Confusing believers about doctrine
• Mixing Law with Grace
• Corrupting the message
“The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not…”
— 2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV)
▪️THE REAL BATTLEFIELD: DOCTRINE
The attack is not physical.
It is doctrinal.
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits…”
— 1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV)
Not persecution first—
👉 deception first.
Because if Satan can:
• distort the message
• dilute the gospel
• confuse your identity
Then he doesn’t need to destroy you…
👉 he can neutralize you.
▪️THE ROLE OF THE LOCAL CHURCH
God didn’t leave believers unprotected.
He gave something powerful:
👉 the local assembly grounded in sound doctrine
A place where:
• truth is taught
• grace is understood
• Scripture is rightly divided
To be removed from that protection is serious.
“To deliver such an one unto Satan…”
— 1 Corinthians 5:5 (KJV)
Outside sound doctrine…
👉 confusion grows quickly.
▪️YOUR DEFENSE PROTOCOL
God has already given the answer.
Not fear.
Not superstition.
Not guesswork.
👉 Truth.
“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (KJV)
“Search the scriptures daily…”
— Acts 17:11 (KJV)
Your defense is:
• Studying the Word
• Rightly dividing Scripture
• Testing everything you hear
• Holding fast to Paul’s gospel
Conclusion:
You are not in a powerless position.
You are not defenseless.
You are part of the Body of Christ—
formed by grace, grounded in truth, secured in Him.
But the attack is real.
Not against your body—
👉 against your mind.
Not to destroy your salvation—
👉 but to weaken your understanding.
So stand.
Stand in grace.
Stand in truth.
Stand in the Word rightly divided.
Satan’s greatest weapon is deception.
God’s answer is truth.
And when truth is clear—
👉 the lies lose their power.
