We are living in a time
when prophecy is everywhere.
Headlines…
YouTube predictions…
date-setting…
speculation…
And yet—
So much confusion.
Why?
Because many are reading prophecy
without rightly dividing the Word of truth.
“Study… rightly dividing the word of truth.”
— 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
▪️THE ROOT OF THE CONFUSION
God’s Word has divisions.
Not contradictions—
but distinctions.
If you mix them, you lose clarity.
If you separate them, you gain understanding.
There are two key programs in Scripture:
• Israel’s prophetic kingdom program
• The mystery program for the Body of Christ
Prophecy speaks of Israel—
their kingdom, their tribulation, their King.
But the Body of Christ?
That was kept secret…
“Which in other ages was not made known…”
— Ephesians 3:5
Revealed through Paul.
▪️THE DANGER OF SENSATIONALISM
Many today build ministries on:
• Current events
• Wars and rumors of wars
• Speculation about dates
But when predictions fail—
It doesn’t just hurt credibility.
It causes people to question the Bible itself.
That’s serious.
Truth doesn’t need hype.
Truth stands on Scripture.
▪️LITERAL MEANS LITERAL
God fulfilled prophecy literally before—
Christ’s first coming proved that.
So why change the method now?
Future prophecy will also be fulfilled:
• Literally
• Exactly
• In God’s timing
Not adjusted to fit today’s headlines.
RAPTURE ≠ SECOND COMING
These are not the same event.
Confusing them creates chaos.
The Rapture:
• A mystery revealed to Paul
• For the Body of Christ
• Before the Tribulation
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
The Second Coming:
• Prophesied since the beginning
• For Israel and the nations
• After the Tribulation
Matthew 24; Revelation 19
Two programs.
Two purposes.
Two different events.
▪️MISUNDERSTOOD PASSAGES
Take the “fig tree” in Matthew 24.
Many say it refers to modern Israel (1948).
But look at the context—
It’s about Israel during
Daniel’s 70th Week.
Not today.
Or Revelation 12—
Some point to star alignments and dates.
But Scripture calls it:
“A great wonder in heaven…”
— Revelation 12:1
A supernatural sign—
not something men calculate on calendars.
▪️A BETTER WAY FORWARD
Stop chasing signs.
Stop following speculation.
Stop letting headlines interpret your Bible.
Instead:
• Study Paul’s epistles
• Understand your position in Christ
• Rest in the Dispensation of Grace
Because today—
God is not speaking through signs.
He is speaking through His Word rightly divided.
▪️Conclusion:
You don’t need to chase prophecy
to find stability.
You need to understand
where you stand.
Not in Israel’s program—
but in the Body of Christ.
Not waiting for signs—
but standing in grace.
Truth is not found in the latest prediction.
It is found in the Word—
rightly divided.
