Why his message matters right now — and why it’s different from anything spoken before.
Most Christians never stop to ask why God raised up the Apostle Paul, why Christ saved him outside the land, outside the kingdom program, and outside prophecy, or why Paul consistently says his gospel and ministry were “kept secret since the world began.”
But when you let Paul speak for himself, the Bible suddenly opens up with clarity, simplicity, and order.
Let’s break it down 👇
1. PAUL RECEIVED A NEW, PREVIOUSLY-HIDDEN REVELATION
Paul didn’t preach what Peter preached in early Acts. He didn’t announce Israel’s kingdom or continue the prophetic program.
He preached the “mystery”—a divine secret now revealed.
• Romans 16:25 — “according to my gospel… the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began.”
• Ephesians 3:2–9 — Paul was given a dispensation (administration) of grace, revealing things “not made known unto the sons of men in other ages.”
• Colossians 1:25–27 — The mystery was “hid from ages and generations” until revealed to Paul.
Prophecy = spoken since the world began (Acts 3:21).
Mystery = kept secret since the world began (Rom. 16:25).
Two programs. Two purposes. Two revelations.
2. PAUL IS THE APOSTLE OF THE GENTILES (Romans 11:13)
While the 12 apostles ministered to Israel (Matt. 10:5–6; Gal. 2:7–9), Paul was sent to all men without distinction—Jew and Gentile in one new body.
This is not the same as Gentiles being blessed through Israel’s rise (Isa. 60:1–3).
Paul’s gospel goes to the Gentiles through Israel’s fall (Rom. 11:11–12).
That’s a massive difference.
3. SALVATION TODAY IS WITHOUT ISRAEL, WITHOUT THE LAW, AND WITHOUT COVENANTS
God is not dealing with Israel as a covenant nation right now (Rom. 11:25).
He is forming something new—the Body of Christ.
• Romans 3:21–28 — righteousness “without the law.”
• Galatians 2:16 — justified by faith alone, not works.
• Ephesians 2:11–16 — Gentiles brought near not by Israel’s rise, but by Christ’s cross, making one new man.
This isn’t prophecy being fulfilled—it’s the prophetic program being paused while God runs a new program of pure grace.
4. PAUL’S GOSPEL IS DISTINCT FROM THE KINGDOM GOSPEL
Peter’s gospel:
👉 Jesus is the Christ, Israel’s Messiah; repent and be baptized; the kingdom is at hand (Acts 2:36–38; Matt. 10:7).
Paul’s gospel:
👉 Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again for our justification (1 Cor. 15:1–4; Rom. 4:25).
👉Salvation is a free gift, apart from works (Eph. 2:8–9).
Same Jesus — two different messages for two different purposes.
5. PAUL IS THE PATTERN FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST
Paul says his salvation and apostleship are the pattern for today:
• 1 Timothy 1:15–16 — “in me first” Christ showed the pattern of His longsuffering for those who would believe after.
• 1 Corinthians 3:10 — Paul is the wise masterbuilder; we build on the foundation he laid.
• 1 Corinthians 14:37 — Paul’s writings are the commandments of the Lord for this dispensation.
Ignoring Paul is ignoring Christ’s instructions for this present age.
6. THE CHURCH TODAY IS NOT SPIRITUAL ISRAEL
The Body of Christ is not Israel (1 Cor. 10:32).
It’s a heavenly people with a heavenly calling.
• Philippians 3:20 — our conversation (citizenship) is in heaven.
• Ephesians 1:3 — all spiritual blessings in heavenly places.
• Ephesians 2:6–7 — seated with Christ in heavenly places.
Israel = Earthly kingdom promises
Body of Christ = Heavenly purpose revealed through Paul
7. RIGHTLY DIVIDING MAKES EVERYTHING FIT
When you divide:
Prophecy (Israel’s kingdom program)
Mystery (Body of Christ grace program)
…the Bible stops contradicting itself.
You no longer mix law and grace, Israel and the Body, kingdom gospel and grace gospel, earthly hope and heavenly hope.
It brings clarity, simplicity, and confidence.
Conclusion:
PAUL’S MESSAGE IS DISTINCT BECAUSE GOD’S PURPOSE TODAY IS DISTINCT
• A new revelation (the mystery)
• A new apostle (Paul)
• A new gospel (1 Cor. 15:1–4)
• A new people (Body of Christ)
• A new purpose (heavenly)
• A new administration (the dispensation of grace)
This is Mid-Acts Pauline Dispensationalism in a nutshell—letting the Scriptures speak plainly, and letting Paul explain the program we’re actually living under today.
