The Glory To Come

Written by Ralph Mark B. Malinao

Sometimes we get so focused on the struggle now…
that we forget what God has already prepared next.

Trials feel heavy.
The world feels loud.
The body feels weak.

But Paul keeps lifting our eyes upward.

Not to escape reality.

But to remember our future reality.

Because for the believer…

the future isn’t uncertain.
It’s settled.

▪️If you’re saved — your destiny is already decided

Not maybe.
Not hopefully.
Not “we’ll see.”

Settled.

“Whom he justified, them he also glorified.” — Romans 8:30

Notice that word.

Glorified.

Past tense.

God speaks of it as done.

That’s how sure it is.

If you’re in Christ today…
you will share in Christ’s glory tomorrow.

Guaranteed.

▪️Heaven isn’t strange — it’s home

Sometimes people imagine heaven like floating clouds and harps.

But Scripture paints something richer.

Full.
Alive.
Active.

Not less life…

More life.

Cities.
Service.
Joy.
Purpose.

Not boredom.

Not silence.

Not emptiness.

Home.

The place you were always meant for.

▪️And yes — there will be joy

Real joy.

Emotion.
Laughter.
Celebration.

The Bible says heaven rejoices over one sinner who repents.

If there’s rejoicing… there’s feeling.

If there’s singing… there’s excitement.

Heaven isn’t cold or robotic.

It’s alive with the life of Christ.

▪️Then comes the transformation

This old body?

Weak.
Sick.
Aging.
Breaking down.

But not forever.

“It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:42

In a moment.

In the twinkling of an eye.

We are changed.

A new body.
Glorified.
Powerful.
Fashioned like His glorious body (Phil. 3:21).

No pain.
No decay.
No limits.

Forever fit for eternity.

▪️And it all rests on one truth

👉 The resurrection.

If Christ didn’t rise…
nothing else matters.

But He did.

The tomb is empty.

And because He lives…

We will live also.

The resurrection isn’t just doctrine.

It’s our guarantee.

It’s God’s promise that death does not win.

Grace wins.

Life wins.

Christ wins.

▪️Then comes the Judgment Seat of Christ

Not to condemn.

Not to punish.

Your sins were already judged at Calvary.

This is different.

This is family evaluation.

Service review.

Reward time.

“Every man shall have praise of God.” — 1 Corinthians 4:5

Think about that.

Praise. From God.

He brings the hidden things to light…

not to shame you…

but to show what His grace accomplished through you.

To measure what truly mattered.

To prepare you for what’s next.

▪️Because eternity isn’t retirement

It’s assignment.

We’re not floating forever.

We’re reigning with Christ.

Serving.
Working.
Administering heavenly places.

“That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace…” — Ephesians 2:7

Real responsibility.

Real purpose.

Real fulfillment.

Placed exactly where you fit best.

Doing exactly what you were designed to do.

Maximum joy.
Maximum usefulness.
Maximum glory to Him.

And here’s the point…

This isn’t just future information.

It’s present strength.

When life hurts… remember the glory to come.
When ministry feels small… remember the reward to come.
When the body weakens… remember the new body to come.

Paul calls it:

“that blessed hope” (Titus 2:13)

Blessed.

Because it comforts.

Blessed.

Because it steadies your heart.

Blessed.

Because it reminds you…

This world is not the end of the story.

Not even close.

Friend, we are grace people.

Saved by grace.
Standing in grace.
Heading toward glory.

So keep serving.
Keep believing.
Keep looking up.

Because the best isn’t behind us.

The glory is still to come.
