This one truth changes everything.
Most believers live frustrated
because they mix the two.
They try to get from the Law
what only Grace can give.
But God never designed the Law to save you.
The Law was never a ladder.
It was a mirror.
And mirrors don’t fix anything.
They only reveal what’s wrong.
▪️What the Law actually does
“By the law is the knowledge of sin.” — Romans 3:20
The Law:
• exposes sin
• defines sin
• proves guilt
• shuts every mouth
It shows you the problem.
But it never supplies the solution.
It can diagnose…
…but it cannot heal.
It can condemn…
…but it cannot justify.
It can demand righteousness…
…but it cannot produce righteousness.
That’s not a flaw.
That’s its purpose.
▪️Then enters Grace
“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested…” — Romans 3:21
Notice those words:
👉 without the law
Not helped by the law.
Not assisted by the law.
Without it.
Because what the Law could not do…
God did.
Through Christ.
Grace gives what Law never could
“For by grace are ye saved through faith… not of works.” — Ephesians 2:8–9
Grace:
• forgives completely
• justifies freely
• seals permanently
• supplies righteousness as a gift
Not earned.
Not deserved.
Not maintained by performance.
Gift.
Gift.
Gift.
▪️Here’s the simple contrast:
Under Law → Try harder.
Under Grace → Trust Christ.
Under Law → Do more.
Under Grace → It is finished.
Under Law → Earn acceptance.
Under Grace → Already accepted.
Big difference.
Huge difference.
Life-changing difference.
And this is why rightly dividing matters.
Israel lived under a covenant of Law.
But today…
In the Dispensation of Grace…
God is not testing your performance.
He’s offering you Christ.
Complete.
Finished.
Enough.
“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” — Romans 6:14
Not under Law.
Under Grace.
Read that again.
Not under Law.
Under Grace.
▪️Conclusion:
The Law exposes sin.
Grace supplies righteousness.
The Law says, “You failed.”
Grace says, “Christ succeeded.”
The Law says, “Pay the debt.”
Grace says, “Paid in full.”
So stop trying to fix yourself.
Rest in Christ.
Stand in grace.
Serve from gratitude.
Because everything the Law demanded…
Jesus already provided.
Always Christ.
Only Christ.
All grace.
