The Rapture Comes First — Then Prophecy Resumes

Written by Ralph Mark B. Malinao

Every generation feels the tremors.

Wars.
Shifting nations.
Moral collapse.

And the question rises again:

“Is this the tribulation?”
“Is prophecy unfolding right now?”

Let’s slow down.

Let’s open the Book.

Let’s rightly divide.

▪️The Prophetic Clock Paused

Daniel speaks of seventy weeks determined upon thy people — Israel (Daniel 9:24).

Sixty-nine weeks ran their course.
Messiah was cut off (Daniel 9:26).

One week remains.

Seven years.

That final week is what Jesus describes in Matthew 24.
It is what Revelation unfolds in detail.
It is Israel’s prophetic program moving again.

But something happened that the prophets never saw.

Acts 9.

The risen, glorified Christ saved Saul of Tarsus.

And through Paul, He revealed:

“The dispensation of the grace of God…
the mystery… which in other ages was not made known.”
(Ephesians 3:2–5)

Prophecy paused.

Grace began.

Not Israel’s kingdom program.
Not the Day of the Lord.

But the unprophesied age of the Body of Christ.

▪️We Are Not Waiting for Signs

The tribulation has signs.

• Wars intensifying
• A covenant confirmed
• The man of sin revealed

But the Rapture?

No signs.

“The Lord himself shall descend…
and we… shall be caught up.”
(1 Thessalonians 4:16–17)

No countdown.
No prophetic markers.
No warnings to watch the Middle East clock.

It is imminent.

It belongs to the mystery.
It belongs to heaven.
It belongs to the Body of Christ.

And it comes before wrath.

“God hath not appointed us to wrath.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:9)

▪️Then Prophecy Resumes

When the Body is complete—

When we are caught up to meet the Lord—

Then the interruption ends.

Then Daniel’s 70th week begins.

Then Israel’s program resumes.

The covenant.
The breaking of peace.
The great tribulation.
The return of the King.

The world will enter its darkest hour.

But the Church, the Body of Christ, will already be with the Lord.

▪️Why This Matters

Right division is not theory.

It protects your peace.

It keeps you from panic-driven prophecy charts.

It anchors you in grace.

We are not bracing for Antichrist.
We are looking for Christ.

We are not preparing for wrath.
We are ambassadors of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:20).

We are not Israel waiting for a kingdom on earth.
We are the Body seated in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).

▪️So What Do We Do Now?

We:

• Preach Christ crucified (1 Corinthians 15:3–4)
• Stand fast in grace (Romans 5:2)
• Walk worthy of our heavenly calling (Ephesians 4:1)
• Comfort one another with this hope (1 Thessalonians 4:18)

The Rapture comes first.

Then prophecy resumes.

Until then?

This is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

This is the ministry of reconciliation.

This is grace.

And while the world trembles—

We rest.

We serve.

We proclaim.

Because before the wrath falls—

We rise.
