Why so much debate?
The issue is not a lack of verses.
The issue is mixing programs.
▪️PROPHECY AND MYSTERY ARE NOT THE SAME
God’s Word reveals two distinct lines:
• Prophecy — spoken since the world began
Acts 3:21
• Mystery — kept secret since the world began
Romans 16:25
If you read prophecy
and apply it to the Body of Christ—
You will struggle.
Every time.
▪️WHERE THE CONFUSION STARTS
Many go to Matthew 24 to find the rapture.
But ask:
Who is Jesus talking to?
What program is in view?
What time period is He describing?
“Immediately after the tribulation… they shall see the Son of man coming…”
— Matthew 24:29–30
That is not the rapture.
That is the Second Coming.
Visible.
Public.
After the Tribulation.
▪️WHAT ABOUT THE RAPTURE?
The rapture is not found in prophecy.
It was revealed later—
Through Paul.
“Behold, I shew you a mystery…”
— 1 Corinthians 15:51
“We which are alive… shall be caught up…”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:17
This is something new.
Not spoken by the prophets.
Not found in the Gospels.
Not part of Israel’s kingdom program.
▪️TIMING MATTERS
The Body of Christ is not appointed to wrath:
“God hath not appointed us to wrath…”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:9
The Tribulation is called:
• “The time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7)
• A period of wrath and judgment
So where are we?
Not in it.
Not waiting to endure it.
But looking for Christ—
▪️A SIMPLE, CLEAR DISTINCTION
Rapture:
• A mystery revealed to Paul
• For the Body of Christ
• Before the wrath to come
Second Coming:
• Prophesied since the beginning
• For Israel and the nations
• After the Tribulation
Two events.
Two programs.
Two purposes.
▪️WHY THIS MATTERS
When you mix Matthew 24 with Paul’s epistles—
You create confusion.
When you rightly divide—
You get clarity.
No more guessing.
No more arguing.
No more fear.
Conclusion:
You don’t need to chase timelines.
You don’t need to fear the Tribulation.
If you are in Christ—
You are part of a mystery program
revealed for this present age of grace.
Not waiting for signs—
but waiting for a Savior.
“Looking for that blessed hope…”

Stand in grace.
Rest in truth.
Rightly divide.
