Ralph Mark B Malinao Christ According To The Mystery

Written by Ralph Mark B. Malinao

Twice in Revelation 2–3, the Lord mentions a striking phrase:

“The synagogue of Satan.”

People read that and immediately get confused…
or worse — sensational.

But slow down.

Remember something first.

Right division.
Context.
Audience.

Because if you miss those, Revelation becomes a mess.

If you see them clearly, it makes perfect sense.

▪️Start here: Revelation is future

The Book of Revelation is not describing the Church today.

It is not about the Body of Christ.

It is not our program.

John is carried forward into the Day of the Lord —
Daniel’s 70th week,
the Tribulation,
Christ’s Second Coming,
the Kingdom.

It’s prophecy territory again.

Israel’s program resumes.

The mystery program is not in view.

▪️The Seven Churches — who are they?

Revelation 2–3 is written to:

Not us.
Not the Body of Christ.

But tribulation saints.

Believing Israel in the future.

And notice something important:

The instructions are different.

Very different.

▪️Different time, different requirements

Today:

• saved by grace
• through faith
• without works
(Ephesians 2:8–9)

But in the Tribulation:

• faith must endure
• faith must overcome
• works demonstrate loyalty
• taking the Mark brings damnation
(Revelation 14:9–12)

Because the prophetic kingdom program is back in operation.

Different dispensation.
Different instructions.
Same God — different dealings.

▪️So who is the “Synagogue of Satan”?

Not spooky creatures.

Not demons in robes.

It’s actually simpler.

They are:

• physical Jews
• claiming covenant identity
• but rejecting their Messiah
• aligning with the Beast

Religious… but lost.
Jewish by blood… but not by faith.

Outwardly Israel.
Inwardly against God.

Just like Romans says:

“He is not a Jew, which is one outwardly…” (Rom 2:28–29)

During the Tribulation, these apostate Jews will oppose the faithful remnant.

They will side with Satan’s system.

So the Lord calls them exactly what they are:

Satan’s assembly.

Strong words.

But truthful words.

▪️Why this matters

If you try to apply Revelation to yourself today…

You’ll live in fear.

You’ll think:

• you must endure to be saved
• you might lose salvation
• you must prove yourself by works

But that’s not grace.

That’s not Paul.

That’s not our calling.

▪️Our position today

In this Dispensation of Grace:

We are not waiting to overcome.

We already stand complete.

We are:

• forgiven
• justified
• sealed
• seated in heavenly places
(Eph 1:13, Col 2:10)

Not fighting for acceptance.
Already accepted.

Not enduring to stay saved.
Already secure.

▪️Rightly divide the Word.

When you do:

• Revelation stops confusing you
• Paul becomes clear
• grace becomes sweet

And the Bible finally fits together.

Israel’s prophecy program is real.

The mystery Body of Christ is real.

But they are not the same.

And mixing them causes fear.

Dividing them brings peace.

Stand fast in grace.
Rest in Christ.
Study Paul.

And let the Word shine the way God designed it to shine.
