If you spend enough time in churches, sermons, or Christian books, something becomes clear.
Most Christianity is sincere.
Most Christianity is passionate.
Most Christianity loves the Bible.
And yet…
Most Christianity is confused.
Not because believers don’t care about Scripture—but because they are mixing together things that God never intended to be mixed.
They are blending programs.
▪️One Bible — More Than One Program
God has always worked according to purpose.
Not randomness.
Not contradiction.
But design.
Scripture reveals different administrations—different stewardships—given at different times to different people.
“Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you…”
— Colossians 1:25
The problem isn’t that Christians read the Bible.
The problem is that they read everything as if it were written directly to us, without asking:
• Who is speaking?
• To whom?
• Under which program?
When those questions go unasked, confusion is inevitable.
▪️Israel’s Program: Earthly and Prophetic
From Genesis through the Gospels and early Acts, God is dealing with Israel.
This program is:
• Covenantal
• Prophetic
• Earth-centered
• Sign-based
• Law-oriented
Promises were physical.
Blessings were visible.
Judgment was immediate.
“Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant…”
— Acts 3:25
Miracles were normal.
Tongues were signs.
Water baptism was required.
The kingdom was offered.
And all of it was foretold.
▪️The Church Today: Heavenly and Mystery-Based
Then something unexpected happened.
Israel stumbled.
The kingdom was postponed.
And God revealed something hidden.
“How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery…”
— Ephesians 3:3
Through the Apostle Paul, God revealed a new program:
• Not promised before
• Not part of prophecy
• Not an extension of Israel
This is the Body of Christ.
This program is:
• Grace-based
• Heavenly
• Faith-centered
• Mystery-revealed
• Apart from the Law
No signs required.
No rituals commanded.
No covenants enforced.
“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested…”
— Romans 3:21
▪️Where the Mixing Happens
Most Christianity doesn’t deny grace.
But it adds to it.
It says:
• “You’re saved by grace… but”
• “You’re under grace… and”
• “Paul teaches grace… yet”
And that’s where the confusion begins.
Churches take:
• Israel’s sermon standards
• Kingdom warnings
• Mosaic commands
• Pentecostal signs
…and blend them with Paul’s gospel of grace.
The result?
A faith that’s never settled.
A walk that’s always striving.
A believer never quite sure.
▪️Mixed Messages Create Troubled Consciences
When programs are blended:
• Grace gets diluted
• Assurance gets shaken
• Service turns into pressure
• Obedience becomes fear-driven
Believers are told:
• To rest—and to worry
• To trust grace—and to prove worthiness
• To rely on Christ—and to measure performance
Paul warned about this very thing.
“A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.”
— Galatians 5:9
Mix a little Law with grace…
and grace is no longer grace.
▪️Right Division Brings Peace
God never intended confusion.
“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace…”
— 1 Corinthians 14:33
Peace comes when Scripture is rightly divided.
When:
• Israel stays Israel
• The Body stays the Body
• Law stays Law
• Grace stays Grace
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God… rightly dividing the word of truth.”
— 2 Timothy 2:15
Right division doesn’t remove Scripture.
It honors Scripture.
It allows every passage to speak clearly—
without forcing it into the wrong program.
▪️Why This Matters Deeply
This is not academic.
This is personal.
Because when believers finally see:
• That they are not under Israel’s covenants
• That they are not awaiting the kingdom
• That they are complete in Christ now
Something changes.
They stop striving.
They start resting.
They serve from gratitude, not fear.
“Ye are complete in him…”
— Colossians 2:10
Grace becomes real.
Assurance becomes steady.
The Christian life becomes joyful.
▪️Conclusion:
Most Christianity is a mix of programs—not because people are dishonest…
…but because they’ve never been taught to distinguish.
Once the distinction is seen,
it cannot be unseen.
And when grace is finally allowed to be pure grace,
it does exactly what God intended:
It frees the soul.
It stabilizes the believer.
It glorifies Christ.
