Ye Are Complete in Him

Written by Ralph Mark B. Malinao

“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.”
— Colossians 2:10 (KJV)

The world says you’re never enough.

Religion says you must keep striving.

Many churches tell you there’s always one more experience, one more work, one more blessing you need.

But God says something entirely different.

“Ye are complete in him.”

What an incredible truth!

▪️COMPLETE IN CHRIST

Notice what Paul does not say.

He does not say:

• You will be complete if you endure long enough.

• You will be complete after enough good works.

• You will be complete after a second blessing.

He says:

“Ye are complete in him.”

Not because of who you are.

But because of who Christ is.

▪️ISRAEL VS THE BODY OF CHRIST

Many believers struggle with assurance because they mix God’s program for Israel with His present program for the Body of Christ.

Israel lived under covenant promises connected to an earthly kingdom.

The Body of Christ has been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places.

Paul reminds us:

“For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles…”
Romans 11:13 (KJV)

As the apostle of the Gentiles, Paul reveals truths about our position in Christ that were hidden until the revelation of the Mystery.

▪️PROPHECY VS MYSTERY

Under prophecy, God’s dealings centered on Israel and the coming kingdom.

Through the Mystery, Christ revealed something entirely new.

Believers today are placed in Christ.

Accepted in Him.

Seated with Him in heavenly places.

Complete in Him.

This glorious truth was made known through Paul’s ministry.

▪️LAW VS GRACE

Religion constantly says:

• Do more.

• Try harder.

• Earn God’s favor.

Grace says:

Christ has done the work.

Your standing before God is not based on your performance.

It is based on Christ’s finished work.

That doesn’t encourage careless living.

It produces grateful living.

We obey because we are accepted—not to become accepted.

▪️THE GOSPEL THAT MAKES US COMPLETE

How do we become complete in Christ?

By believing the Gospel Paul preached:

“How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
1 Corinthians 15:3–4 (KJV)

The moment you trust Christ alone:

• You are justified.

• You are forgiven.

• You are sealed by the Holy Spirit.

• You are placed into the Body of Christ.

• You are complete in Him.

Not partially.

Not provisionally.

Completely.

▪️STOP LOOKING FOR WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE

Many believers spend their lives searching for something God says they already possess.

Another experience.

Another revelation.

Another level of acceptance.

Paul points us back to Christ.

Everything we need for our standing before God is found in Him.

Our spiritual completeness is not achieved by us.

It is received in Christ.

▪️THE BLESSED CONCLUSION

One of the greatest truths revealed through the Apostle Paul is that every believer is complete in Christ.

When we rightly divide:

• Israel and the Body of Christ.

• Prophecy and Mystery.

• Law and Grace.

We discover that our identity is not found in religious performance but in our union with the risen Lord.

If you have trusted Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection for your salvation, you don’t need to become complete.

You already are.

Rest in His finished work.

Stand in His grace.

Rejoice in this glorious truth:

“Ye are complete in him.”
